STRATEGIC REVIEW

STRATEGIC REVIEW

WIDE-ANGLE REVIEW — 6 TO 8 WEEKS – FOUNDATIONAL STRATEGY

"We know we can use technology better and be more strategic. But where do we start?"

Strategic Review is Green Raven's comprehensive, stakeholder-informed examination of how an organisation is using, or planning to use, technology across its teams, sites, departments, and audiences.

Green Raven maps your landscape: what technology is in use, what has been tried and failed, where the alignment is, who are your key people, where the internal disagreements sit, what leadership expects, and what the organisation's actual capacity to change looks like.

The process involves structured interviews with stakeholders across the organisation. Leadership, operational teams, digital and content staff, external partners where relevant. This could be conducted at organisation level, project level, or focused on specific outcomes.

What do you get in a Strategic Review?

You get an investigative consultation process, a review of evaluation reports, strategy documents, and internal materials, site visits where appropriate, plus external research. You also receive regular check-ins and advisory conversations, leading to a substantial written report with findings, analysis, and a prioritised set of recommendations. This isn't a generic framework but a document specific to your organisation that you can act on immediately and return to as your situation evolves.

Who is a Strategic Review for?

A Strategic Review suits organisations that need to make significant technology decisions: commissioning digital platforms, improving the visitor experience, reaching new audiences, restructuring digital infrastructure, or responding to sector expectations. It is for organisations that want independent expertise alongside them rather than a vendor's perspective. Museums and heritage organisations planning major technology investments, arts organisations developing multi-year digital and immersive strategies, cultural institutions whose technology needs coherent direction, businesses preparing for a digital transformation programme. Green Raven has conducted strategic reviews for organisations including Science Museum Group and UK Sepsis Trust as well as major brands via partners.

How long does a Strategic Review take and what does it cost?

Usually 6-12 weeks. Pricing is determined by scale and scope. Smaller organisations with a focused question start at around £5,000. Mid-sized organisations with multiple sites or teams typically invest £8,000 to £10,000. Contact Green Raven to discuss your specific situation.
