Referral & Introductions Policy 

Green Raven provides judgement, not access, as a service. Introductions to the organisations and people I work with aren't a service I offer on their own, and I don't broker access to my contacts or network. Green Raven will make or facilitate an introduction only when:

 

• It falls within a defined role I hold with an organisation or programme I'm supporting;

• A cultural organisation asks me to recommend suitable partners for a project, and I can point them to people I'd genuinely vouch for; or

• I'm actively engaged, in an advisory, development, retainer, or consultancy capacity, by the studio or platform seeking the introduction, and making introductions falls within the agreed scope of that work.

 

In every case, an introduction reflects my honest judgement about fit. I won't pass on a contact without the other party's agreement, and a good working relationship with me is never, on its own, a route to my network.

Artificial intelligence (AI) Policy

Green Raven works at the intersection of culture, creativity, and emerging technology. Increasingly, that means I'm asked to investigate, develop, or advise on projects that use artificial intelligence (AI) in its many forms.

 

These are still emerging tools, with no settled standards for how they should be used in the cultural and creative sectors. Part of my role is to help studios and organisations navigate that uncertainty which means taking a clear, deliberate view on the work I will and won't support. That position evolves as the technology and its consequences become clearer.

 

What Green Raven will consider supporting:

 

Projects that use AI, large language models (LLMs), and related technologies to widen access, strengthen how an organisation works, deepen understanding, or otherwise serve its mission and values, treating these tools as a way to extend human creativity and capacity, not to replace it.

 

What Green Raven will not support:

 

Projects where generative AI or related technologies:

 

• Substitute for human creative work that would otherwise be commissioned from, and paid to, practitioners;

• Pass off machine-generated output as human-made, or use it without transparency, consent, or credit; or

• Degrade, deprioritise, or extract value from the cultural and creative industries and the people who work in them.

 

Where a project sits in genuinely contested territory, I make that call case by case, guided throughout by whether the work supports or undermines the people who make culture.

Where a brief calls for AI or related-technologies, Green Raven provides a Reframe scoping service that find alternative method to implementation, design projects that find the most essential uses of the technology, and offer new or hybrid routes where possible.​
